Chicago Restaurant Week brings plenty of good deals to the suburbs

Foodies, it’s game on.

Chicago Restaurant Week started Friday. And don’t worry, you have more than a week to take advantage of it as the 17th annual event continues through Feb. 4.

Over 400 restaurants are participating, offering special prix fixe lunch, brunch and dinner menus at special prices ($25 for brunch and lunch; $42 and/or $59 for dinner).

“Chicago Restaurant Week reflects the passion and vitality of our restaurant community,” Sam Toia, President and CEO of the Illinois Restaurant Association, said in a news release. “Celebrations like this give diners the perfect reason to explore every single pocket of the city and finally get to that spot they’ve been wanting to try – all while bringing essential business to restaurants during Chicago’s winter season.”

While it’s called Chicago Restaurant Week, you don’t have to go to the city to enjoy the offers. About 40 suburban restaurants are participating, and on top of that, many suburbs hold their own promotional weeks for local eateries this time of year. Here’s a list of some of the suburban restaurants participating in CRW and other suburbs that have their own special offerings.
