Go on a musical journey with Lisle Community Band Concert Series

The Lisle Community Band invites music enthusiasts of all ages to embark on an extraordinary musical adventure with the summer concert series.

Prepare to be mesmerized by the band's captivating sounds and exceptional talents as they take the stage on three consecutive Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., starting on July 13.

• Thursday, July 13 - "An Evening of Musical Brilliance"

Delight in an exquisite blend of melodies by renowned composers Berlioz, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, and Rodgers. As a special highlight, the audience will be treated to an enchanting Beauty and the Beast medley. This captivating performance will be further elevated by the special feature of guest vocal soloist Summer Kwai, whose enchanting voice promises to captivate hearts and leave the audience in awe.

• Thursday, July 20 - "A Symphony of Marches and Movie Magic"

Immerse yourself in a mesmerizing musical journey filled with marches, folk music, and an enchanting medley of Disney classics. Trumpet soloist Pete Ellman will grace the stage, showcasing his virtuosity and adding a touch of brilliance to the evening's performances. Prepare to be swept away by the nostalgia and magic of the silver screen.

• Thursday, July 27 - "A Fusion of Masterpieces and Iconic Hits"

Experience the captivating compositions of Shostakovich, Strauss, and Ellington, as the Lisle Community Band takes you on an eclectic musical voyage. The night will also feature a delightful Mary Poppins medley, as well as the iconic music of the Doors, transporting the audience to diverse musical landscapes.

The concerts will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. at the band shell at Lisle Park District's Community Park, 1825 Short St. In case of rain or excessive heat, the concerts will be held in Lisle High School, 1800 Short St. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
