Wheaton's Gary UMC to host class on 'Worship & Music'

Gary United Methodist Church in Wheaton will host the class, "Worship & Music," on Sundays, Nov. 20 and 27.

Methodism founder John Wesley once said, "Sing all. Sing lustily and with good courage … strive to unite your voices together."

Music and song have always been an integral part of corporate worship. Join the Rev. Chris Pierson, Gary Church music director Jennifer Whiting, Gary Church organist Kevin Lange and members of the Gary Church Chancel Choir for an interactive discussion on music and worship at 10 a.m.

Gary United Methodist Church, 224 N. Main St. in Wheaton, offers 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday services in the sanctuary.

The 9 a.m. service is complete with Kids' Church and nursery care, plus livestreaming and recorded worship at garychurch.org.

The 11 a.m. Service of Word & Sacrament is an intimate and informal service. At 10 a.m., you can enjoy a coffee hour called "Special Blend" and Sunday school for all ages.
