Wheaton author to join Prairie Path Books' 'Whiskey, Beer, and History' event

On Thursday, Oct. 6, Prairie Path Books is welcoming Wheaton author and Navy SEAL Ben Milligan for a "Whiskey, Beer, and History" event to promote his new book, "By Water Beneath the Walls: The Rise of the NAVY SEALS."

The event will take place from 7 to 8 p.m. at 302 South at Town Square Wheaton.

Written with the insight that can only come from a combat veteran and a member of the book's tribe, "By Water Beneath the Walls" is an essential new history of the SEAL teams, a crackling account of desperate last stands and unforgettable characters accomplishing the impossible.

In the book, Milligan tries to answer a question his grandma had asked years before: how on earth did the Navy, a branch of the United States military tasked with patrolling the oceans - ever manage to produce the most elite unit of commandos in the world that routinely strike thousands of miles from the water - on the battlefields of Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, even Central Africa?

Tickets for $31 can be purchased at www.prairiepathbooks.com.

Your ticket covers the purchase of the book.

Milligan will be available to sign your copy of the book following the event.
