Amdur Productions adds Art on the Fox Sept. 11-12 to its 2021 festival lineup

Bringing nearly 100 artists together to engage with the community, Amdur Productions is the producer of the inaugural Art on the Fox, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11-12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Located along the Fox River, this free-entry festival, hosted by the Village of Algonquin and Public Arts Commission, will showcase the work of top national juried artists, live musical performances, interactive artist demonstrations, and other family-friendly activities. Guests will have the opportunity to see and shop exceptional artwork in a variety of mediums including paintings, ceramics, glass, jewelry, sculpture and more.

"We are so thrilled to be producing this show for the very first time," said Amy Amdur, President and CEO of Amdur Productions. "With experience hosting popular shows in the Chicagoland area including Gold Coast Art Fair and Port Clinton Art Festival, we look forward to engaging with the Algonquin community and connecting them with a talented collection of artists."

Attendees of the fest will not only have the chance to shop for new art pieces, but also to meet and engage with the artists to gain a better understanding of their work and hear from them about the different processes, inspirations that go into their work.

Live musical performances from Cirrus Falcon and Ron Steta Trio will take place in the newly renovated downtown of Algonquin, and many local eateries and shops are within walking distance from the show.

Admission to this fest is free. Walk-ups are welcome; however, timed reservations are encouraged to help disperse crowds throughout the weekend. Free reservations can be made via Evenbrite.com.

Easily accessible, free parking is available throughout the downtown area. For more information on Amdur Productions or Art on the Fox, call (847) 926-4300 or visit amdurproductions.com.
