College of DuPage celebrates Francophone culture

The languages department at College of DuPage and La Connexion Française French Club, in collaboration with the Alliance Française of DuPage, recently embraced the diversity and richness of Francophone cultures from across the globe during "Celebration of the Francophonie."

The March 20 event, held on the College's Glen Ellyn campus, featured hands-on cultural displays, food, music and dance.

La Connexion Française, a French club, invites the College of DuPage community to participate in its exploration of francophone language, countries, and culture through conversation, film, cuisine, games, and cultural excursions. Membership is open to COD students, faculty, staff and community members. The French Club collaborates with the Alliance Française of DuPage in some events.

On Tuesday, April 9, come speak French with students and professors in a relaxed environment from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in BIC 3422 at the college, 425 Fawell Drive in Glen Ellyn. Learn how Easter is celebrated in France. Food and drinks will be served. To learn more about the La Connexion Française, visit chaplife.cod.edu/organization/laconnexionfrancaise.
