Annual Winter Hallway Book Sale wraps up Dec. 9

The Environmental Defenders of McHenry County contiues its annual Winter Hallway Book Sale through Dec. 9 at the Woodstock Square Mall, first floor, 110 S. Johnson St.

There are tables of books set up in the hallway area of the Woodstock Square Mall building outside the Green Spot and the Defenders' office.

Books in the hallway will be priced at $1 per hardcover and 50 cents per paperback.

Hours are: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. There will be a bag sale Dec. 7-9.

Proceeds from the sale benefit the Environmental Defenders of McHenry County, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and improvement of the environment. The group provides community residents with educational programs and volunteer action on pollution prevention, sustainable land use and energy and natural resource conservation. Donations are encouraged and are tax-deductible as charitable contributions.
