Get tickets for Assisi Animal Foundation benefit night Nov. 7

The Assisi Animal Foundation promises a fun night Saturday, Nov. 7, with "Star Struck," a dinner dance auction fundraiser at the Crystal Lake Country Club, 721 Country Club Road. It will begin at 5:30 p.m. with cocktails (cash bar) and bidding on silent auction items, followed by the dinner, live auction and dancing. It is black-tie optional.

For all you animal people, the very popular WGN radio host, author and TV personality, Steve Dale, will be the evening's celebrity host for an evening of dining, dancing, meeting old and new friends. The host of "Pet World" on WGN Radio is a certified animal behavior consultant, and he reaches more pet owners than any other pet journalist in America. He writes a twice-weekly syndicated newspaper column. He also is the host of two nationally syndicated radio shows: "Steve Dale's Pet World" and "The Pet Minute" (together heard on over 100 radio stations, syndicated Black Dog Radio Productions, since 2005). He previously hosted nationally broadcast Animal Planet Radio.

Woodstock Mayor Brian Sager will lead the auction with really exciting items and opportunities, including Chicago Blackhawks and Cubs tickets, a fantastic African Safari for two, and too much to mention.

Call for tickets while some last at $70 per person at (815) 455-9411 or visit www.assisi.org.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to the operations of the first no-kill animals sheltering facility built by Assisi Animal Foundation and opened in 1988. It is dedicated to providing shelter, care and re-homing of cats and dogs to responsible, permanent homes. It is a four-time recipient of the "Excellence of Service to Animals and Public Education" award from Chicago Veterinary Medical Association.
