Learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide
Living Waters Lutheran Church, 1808 Miller Road in Crystal Lake, offers "QPR Gatekeeper Training for Suicide Prevention" at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17.
Each year, an estimated 775,000 family members and friends are impacted by the suicide attempt or death of a loved one.
In this one-hour training, presented by a certified instructor, individuals will learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to apply three simple steps that may save a life.
Registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. To register for this training, go online at www.mc708.org or call Carolyn Frasor at the Mental Health Board at (815) 788-4392.
