Woodlands Academy Hosts Open Houses Nov. 8 & 10

Prospective students and their parents can learn about the unique, transformative educational experience at Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart during open houses Sunday, Nov. 8, at noon and Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 6:30 p.m. You'll be able to tour the school, meet with teachers and coaches, and learn about the many exciting clubs and activities that are offered.

Woodlands Academy was named the sixth-best private school in Illinois and the top Catholic school in the state (#18 nationally) in the 2015 Niche rankings. The school promotes rigorous academics, artistic and athletic excellence, strong faith, and social responsibility.

Located at 760 E. Westleigh Road in Lake Forest, Woodlands Academy is a Catholic day and boarding college-preparatory high school for young women of all faiths in grades nine through 12. Studies have shown that the all-girls educational environment it provides empowers girls to participate more, excel in STEM, score higher on SAT tests, and become future scientists, doctors, engineers and inventors.

Woodlands Academy is part of a worldwide network of Sacred Heart Schools that spans the United States and 40 countries around the world. Its students have the opportunity to participate in an exchange program allowing them to attend a quarter or a semester abroad at one of the other Sacred Heart schools.

During Woodlands Academy's two November open houses, prospective students will have the opportunity to:

• Tour the school with a student ambassador who will share her experiences ranging from academic, social, leadership to service opportunities.

• Engage with teachers who are passionate about their areas of expertise.

• Talk with parents about their first-hand impressions about how the school has impacted their daughters.

• Meet some of Woodlands' amazing alumnae and learn of their accomplishments.

• Check out a variety of 26 clubs, ranging from Model UN to Robotics, and sports ranging from Crew (rowing), volleyball, soccer, tennis, basketball and softball.
