Aug. 25-28: Theatre, music and dance auditions at College of Lake County

Community members who would like to perform in a College of Lake County theatre production, choir, instrumental ensemble or dance troupe are invited to fall semester auditions being held Aug. 25-28.

Monday Night Jazz Ensemble: Aug. 25, 7:30 p.m. in P101. Fall concert dates: Oct. 10 and Nov. 23. Director: Dr. Michael Flack.

"Dr. Dolittle" (theatre department children's theatre production): Aug. 26 and 27, 6:30 p.m. in Studio Theatre. Production dates: Oct. 2-5. Director: Thomas B. Mitchell.

Prairie Spirits Dance Troupe Winter Dance Concert: Aug. 28, 7 p.m. in P103 (production dates: Dec. 5-7). Directors: Dr. Valerie Alpert and Terry Crews.

Wind Ensemble: Aug. 28, 7:30 p.m., P101. Fall concert dates: Oct. 12 and Dec. 14. Director: Dr. Michael Flack.

CLC Singers: Contact Director Jeff DeLay at jdelay@clcillinois.edu for audition times and dates. Fall concert dates: Oct. 26 and Dec. 14.

Chamber Singers: Contact Director Ingrid Mikolajczyk at imikolajczyk@clcillinois.edu for audition times and dates.

In addition, CLC offers several music ensembles that are open to all without audition. These include the Choir of Lake County (Jeff DeLay, director); Gospel Choir (Charles Hayes, director); Tuesday Night Jazz Ensemble (Dave Hibbard, director) and Concert Band (John Mose, director).

Being in a choir, the dance troupe, a show or an instrumental group is a great way to express yourself, gain creative skills and be with others who share your creative talents! Call the Communication Arts, Humanities and Fine Arts division at (847) 543-2040 for more information.
