Oakton tops Harper

Sophomore guard Rachel Payne scored a team-high 18 points and sophomore forward Monica Hinderer had 14, but it wasn’t enough in a 61-47 loss to Oakton Community College on Tuesday at the Sports and Wellness Center in Palatine.

The Hawks trailed by just 4 points after the first half but were outscored by 10 points in the second half of the nonconference matchup.

Freshman guard Shante Hill also scored in double figures for Harper (2-9) with 10 points.
