Batman movie producer Michael Uslan to speak at Harper

Michael Uslan, executive producer of more than a half-dozen Batman movies including “The Dark Knight” and the upcoming “The Dark Knight Rises,” will make an appearance next week at Harper College in Palatine.

The event starts at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at the Performing Arts Center on the main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road. Uslan will talk about his journey from a comic-loving boy to producer, including how he bought the Batman rights and his quest to turn the comic into the dark, serious films they’ve become.
