Stevenson 3, Benet 2: Stevenson earned its 20th win of the season by rolling up 7 hits and scoring all 3 of its runs in the fifth inning.

The Patriots (20-13) were down 1-0 going into the fifth. Jack Karras drove in a run and went 2-for-3 on the day. Max Golembo added a double.

Meanwhile, winning pitcher Scott Irving rolled up 3 strikeouts and allowed just 2 walks over 4 innings.

Lake Zurich 4, Jacobs 1: Winning pitcher Connor Clancy wasn’t in a giving mood. He allowed just 2 hits and 1 walk over five innings of service.

The Bears also played solid defense behind Clancy, led by third baseman Jake Guilianelli and second baseman Jacob LaRue.

Offensively, Lake Zurich got key hits out of Sean Eder (2-for-3) and Anthony Drago (2-for-3) during a 3-run fourth inning.

Wauconda 10, Grayslake North 4: Jake Ziolkowski went 4-for-4 on the day with 2 doubles and 3 RBI to lead the Bulldogs to the victory.

Wauconda, which improves to 21-11, also got 2 hits, including a triple, out of Brandon Gibis while winning pitcher Shawn Sundquist went five innings.

Libertyville 6, Nazareth 5: Anthony Mack went 3-for-5 on the day to lead Libertyville to a nonconference victory.

Mundelein 4, New Trier 1: Jared Mandel was the winning pitcher for the Mustangs, who move to 31-4 on the season.

Zion-Benton 13, Waukegan 3 (5): In a regional quarterfinal at Waukegan, winning pitcher Leo Zaremba allowed just 4 hits and 2 walks for the Zee-Bees, who will face top-seeded Mundelein on Wednesday in a regional semifinal.
