Harper finds itself Stormed out again
After winning the first two games in the NJCAA Region IV sectional tournament Saturday, all the Harper College baseball team had to do was win one of the two remaining games to advance to the NJCAA Division III, Region IV title series.
But then came the storms came — literally and figuratively.
Sunday’s play was washed out due to storms. Same with Monday’s rain date.
And Tuesday, the Hawks ran into another sort of storm.
The Stormers of Milwaukee Area Technical College first defeated Harper 11-4 to force an elimination game for both teams in Game 2.
Milwaukee took a 5-3 lead into the top of the third before the game became a back-and-forth scoring affair.
It ended in the 10th inning, with the Stormers winning 11-10.
MATC will face Region IV’s top seed, Joliet Junior College, on Saturday in Joliet.
