Burlington Central 8, Harvard 0: Michael Scott (1-2) pitched a complete-game gem to lead the Rockets (19-6, 7-0) to a Big Northern Conference at home. Scott scattered 3 hits and 1 walk while striking out 9 hitters. Blake Alexander paced the Rockets offensively with a 3-for-3 effort at the plate to go along with 3 RBI.

Crystal Lake South 6, Prairie Ridge 5: The Gators (21-7, 12-2) found themselves trailing by 1 run heading into the top of the seventh inning before knocking in 2 runs and holding the Wolves in the bottom half of the inning. Tyler Salm (RBI), Jordan Van Dyck (RBI), and Nick Martin recorded 2 hits a piece while Dom Winiecki drove in 2 runs. Tyler Hall (5-1) earned the victory as he gave up 5 run, 3 earned, 6 hits, 4 strikeouts, and 2 walks in 6 innings pitched.

Elgin 5, Geneva 4: Kiko Mari got the job done both offensively and on the mound when he was called upon as he delivered the game-winning pinch-hit RBI single in the top of the seventh to lead the Marroons (8-17, 4-14) to an Upstate Eight Conference victory. Jake Bartelt paced the offense with a home run, 3 RBI, and 2 runs scored while Nick Turner added an RBI. Eric Daly (1-5) picked up his first win of the season as he allowed 6 hits and struck out 5. Mari came in to pitch the bottom of the seventh inning to earn his first save of the year.

Westminster Christian 8, Rockford Christian 7: Despite giving up 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Warriors (15-9, 9-1) held on to earn a Northeast Athletic Conference victory. Tyler Greene paced the Warriors offensively as he went 2-for-4 at the plate with 2 triples and an RBI. Dylan Scully (1-0) earned the victory on the mound as he went 3 innings, scattering 2 hits and 3 walks while striking out 3 hitters. Zack Edwards earned the save.

Jacobs 4, Huntley 2: Zac Camacho delivered the big blow as he belted a home run and knocked in 2 runs to give the Golden Eagles (15-10, 9-4) a Fox Valley Conference victory over the Red Raiders. Mark Self (double) added 2 hits for the Golden Eagles while Ryan Ulmer drove in a run. Bryce Only and Colin Lyman paced the Red Raiders (15-13, 7-7) offensively as they recorded 2 hits a piece, including a double each. Max Rider (2-1) earned the victory as he struck out 1 and allowed 1 hit in 1 innings of work. Justin Gundlach (3-4) suffered the tough loss as he threw 5 innings while allowing 2 walks 5 hits and striking out 6.

Johnsburg 6, Hampshire 4: The Whip-Purs (7-15-1, 1-12) were unable to hold off a Johnsburg rally as they fell short in Fox Valley Conference action. Sean O’Shea, Michael Laramie, and Justin Thinger each hit a double for the Whips’ while Thinger also drove in 2 runs. Daniel Keller suffered the loss on the mound.

McHenry 5, Cary-Grove 0: The Trojans (17-8, 11-2) were unable to get on the scoreboard as they dropped a game in Fox Valley Conference action. Ryan Kaveney suffered the loss as he struck out 3 in 5 innings of work.

Larkin 4, Streamwood 3: It was wild finish, but when the dust had settled, it was the Royals (8-15, 5-10) who came out on top and earned an Upstate Eight Conference victory over the Sabres at home. The Royals carried a 4-1 lead into the seventh inning when Richie Gorski appeared to have tied the game up for the Sabres with a 3-run home run, but it was later ruled a 2-run home run when a runner in front of Gorski was ruled to have missed third base on an appeal. Kyle Newquist (double) and Drew Shore paced the Royals offensively with 3 and 2 hits, respectively. Austin Royce (3-4) picked up the victory on the mound as he threw 6 innings, allowing 7 hits and 3 walks while striking out 4 batters. Gorski suffered the loss for Streamwood as he struck out 1, walked 1 and gave up 7 hits in 5 innings of work.

Waubonsie Valley 7, Bartlett 6: The Hawks (10-15-1, 5-11-1) gave up a 5 spot in the bottom of the fourth inning and could not recover as they fell to Waubonsie Valley in Upstate Eight Conference play. Colin Nowak turned in a stellar performance at the plate as he went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 4 RBI to pace the Hawks’ offense. Robert Smith also added a double and scored 2 runs. Kyle Garcia suffered the loss as he gave up 3 hits and 1 run while striking out 1 in 2 innings pitched.
