Elgin 8, Streamwood 2: Hannah Perryman was 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI and Jennah Perryman went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBI as Elgin (14-9, 7-5) won in the Upstate Eight River. Caroline Sobeski was also 2-for-4 for the Maroons, who won their third straight and fifth in their last six games. Hannah Perryman (11-6) was the winning pitcher. She allowed 2 hits with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk. Brittany Delao had a home run for the Sabres (5-13, 2-5). Kaitlyn Hedger was the losing pitcher.

Montini 6, St. Edward 3: Kali Kossakowski was 2-for-4 with 2 home runs in St. Edward’s Suburban Christian loss. Ryann Scully and Jasmine Deleon each had 2 hits for the Green Wave (6-14, 4-7). Morgin Coughlin took the loss.

Cary-Grove 5, Lake Zurich 2: Lindsay Efflandt struck out 6 and walked 3 to lead the Trojans (19-5) to a nonconference win.

Bartlett 13, Maine West 0: Steph Tomazin was 3-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI and Tori Burke (10-3) threw a 3-hitter with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk as Bartlett (18-3) won its first round game at the Rolling Meadows tournament. Ales Morales (3-for-3, RBI) and Amanda Montbriand (2-for-3, 3 RBI) also contributed for Bartlett.

Batavia 11, Larkin 2: Jaclyn Saurbaugh and Nikki Banks each had 2 hits and Maggie Hoffman a double in Larkin’s Upstate Eight River loss. Kiernan Schock took the loss for the Royals (3-20, 1-8).

Burlington Central 11, Rockford Lutheran 1: Amanda Ritchie had a home run and 2 doubles to lead the Rockets in the Big Northern East. Rebecca Roscher added a double and a triple and Emily Bell and Dakota Metz each had doubles for BC (18-7, 5-2). Roscher (3-0) was the winning pitcher, allowing 3 hits with 11 strikeouts.

College softball

Judson gets NCCAA bid: Judson rolled to wins of 15-0 and 20-0 over North Central of Minnesota in the NCCAA regional at Judson, qualifying the Eagles (26-23) for the NCCAA World Series in Virginia. Sarah Boyer threw a no-hitter in Game 2 with 11 strikeouts, giving her 225 for the season. Sam Gladen won Game 1 with 6 strikeouts. Judson had 25 hits in the two games including 5 home runs. Concetta Lampugnano had 2 of the 5 round-trippers for the Eagles.
