McHenry 6, Cary-Grove 5: The Trojans suffered a rare Fox Valley Conference loss as McHenry scored a run in the top of the eighth inning in this Valley Division game. Sarah Leudo’s 2-run home run tied the game for the Trojans (12-4, 2-1) in the bottom of the seventh. Jaime Deering also had a homer and 2 RBI for Cary-Grove and Taylor Dunne was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Lindsay Efflandt (11-3) suffered the loss, allowing 12 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Jacobs 11, Huntley 1: Maggie Hansen had a 3-run home run while Alyssa Lach (2-for-3, RBI) and Taylor Belo (2-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 SBs) also contributed to the offense as the Golden Eagles (9-7, 1-2) rolled to this FVC Valley win. Tori Berg allowed 5 hits to pick up the win. Randi Peterson had a double and an RBI for Huntley (3-12, 0-4) and Mackenzie Brown added a double. Ashley Laxner was the losing pitcher.
Prairie Ridge 7, CL South 2: Kiersten Stevens threw a 5-hitter for Prairie Ridge in this FVC Valley game. Liz Adams was 2-for-3 with a double for CL South (10-3, 2-2) and Sam Golf took the loss in the circle.
Westminster Christian 9, Rockford Christian 8: Ali Heishler drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead the Warriors (5-1, 4-1) to this Northeast Athletic Conference win. Cassidy Finnegan (2-for-3, 2 RBI), Mikaela Dahlman (2-for-4, RBI), Liz Farwell (2 RBI) and Rachel Rich (RBI) also contributed. Rachel Fugiel was the winning pitcher. She struck out 13.
Elgin 20, East Aurora 0: Elgin scored 14 runs in the sixth inning to put the Tomcats out of their misery in the Upstate Eight. Winning pitcher Anna Eckholm, who threw a 1-hitter with 9 strikeouts, was 5-for-5 for the Maroons (10-8, 3-4) with a triple and 2 RBI, while Hannah Perryman had a double, a grand slam home run and 6 RBI. Monica Stockman (2-for-3, 2B, RBI), Faviola Lopez (2B, RBI) and Kelly Bremer (3B, 3 RBI) also contributed for Elgin.
Burlington Central 15, Richmond 0: Brooke Gaylord pitched a 3-hitter with 8 strikeouts as Burlington Central (12-7, 1-2) rolled in the Big Northern East. Emily Bell (2 doubles), Angie Morrow (2B), Bekah Harnish (HR) and Sarah Kisch (HR) led the BC offense.
Hampshire 14, Johnsburg 4: Haley Widmayer allowed 4 hits with 7 strikeouts and Hampshire got home runs from Rebekah Hurst (3-for-3, 2B) and Jordan Hook (2-for-3, 2B) in this Fox Valley (Fox) win. Becca Vodraska, Sara Finn, Tiffany Bentley and Widmayer each had 2 hits for the Whip-Purs (8-11, 1-2).

Sam Bolin (6-6) got the win for the Storm, striking out 11 and walking none. Lexi Smithberg (3-for-4, 2B), Alex Buhrow (3-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI), Kiernan Schock (2-for-4, RBI) and Nikki Banks (2-for-4, RBI) led Larkin (3-15, 1-5). Schock was the losing pitcher.

Judson sweeps: Sarah Boyer won her 14th game of the season as Judson (22-21, 8-8) swept Trinity International, 10-2 and 13-2 in the CCAC. Bri DiGiola was 6-for-9 with 3 RBI for the Eagles and Sam Gladen won Game 2.
