Author Kenneth N. Green To Speak On I'm From Division Street At Northbrook Community Synagogue On May 17

Author/Attorney Kenneth N. Green will discuss and sign his book, "I'm From Division Street," at 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 17 at Northbrook Community Synagogue, 2548 Jasper Court in Northbrook. Adults and teenagers are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. Two synagogue members will match the sales from this book with their donation to the synagogue. "I'm From Division Street" tells of Kenneth Green's comeback from poverty and academic challenges growing up in the Humboldt Park neighborhood to success as an defense attorney, Chief of Public Defenders in Los Angeles County, a boxer inducted into the California Boxing Hall of Fame, and single parent of a son.

"I'm From Division Street" vividly describes the Humboldt Park neighborhood when the author was growing up. The book also profiles many famous and successful Jewish people who grew up in the neighborhood.
