Elgin Academy's Flexman scores 1,000th point
Elgin Academy's Connor Flexman had a career night Tuesday.
Flexman poured in a career-high 39 points and went over the 1,000 point milestone for his career in leading the Hilltoppers to a 79-70 nonconference win over Roycemore Academy.
Flexman now has 1,031 career points.
Joseph Heisley and Zach Rohenick also tallied double-digits for the Hilltoppers (8-14) with 10 points apiece.
Hampshire 56, Johnsburg 49: The Whip-Purs (14-10, 6-4) held off a late comeback by Johnsburg to earn a Fox Valley Conference Fox Division victory. Tyler Watzlawick led all scorers with 18 points while Shane Hernandez and Tyler Crater chipped in 12 and 11 points, respectively for the Whips.
Harvest Christian 65, Keith Country Day 34: The Lions (9-16) started off slow, but used big second and third quarters to propel themselves to an easy victory. Stuart Wolff paced the Lions with 21 points while John Vislisel and Dan Turpin each recorded 13 points. Kyle Fritz rounded out the double-figures with 12 points.
Prairie Ridge 54, Crystal Lake South 51 (OT): The Gators (7-16, 6-6) fell in overtime against Fox Valley Conference Valley Division rival Prairie Ridge. Eric Schiller and Alex Bartusch each recorded double-digits for the Gators with 10 points apiece.
McHenry 50, Cary-Grove 35: Jake Bianchi scored a team-high 11 points to lead the Trojans (6-18, 3-8), but it wasn't enough as they fell in Fox Valley Conference Valley Division action.
Elk Grove 66, Streamwood 44: The Sabres (4-20) were unable to keep up with Elk Grove's offensive attack as they fell on the road in nonconference action. Brandon Larkin-Guilfoyle (20 points) and Jacob Siewert (10 points) each recorded double-figures in the loss for Streamwood.
Barrington 56, South Elgin 53 (OT): The Storm (10-14) carried a 6 point lead into halftime, but it wasn't enough as they fell in nonconference action at home. Jake Maestranzi led the Storm with 16 points.
Bartlett 55, Wheaton North 52: Jon Leigeber recorded a game-high 20 points as he led the Hawks (13-13) to a nonconference road victory. Matt Chaltin (13 points) and Lorenzo Mitchell (10 points) also chipped in double-digits for the Hawks.

College of Lake County 82, McHenry County College 73: The Scots (11-16, 5-8) fell behind early and couldn't recover as they fell to the College of Lake County in ISCC play. DeShawn Wash (16 points, 10 rebounds), LeBarron Hull (13 points), Mershon Wilkes (10 points), and Marcus Marshall (10 points) all recorded double-figures in the loss for MCC.
