Morgan Park Academy 47, Elgin Academy 44: Connor Flexman recorded a team-high 19 points for the Hilltoppers, but it wasn’t enough as they fell in a close game at home. Joey Heisley added 12 points in the loss.

Huntley 56, Prairie Ridge 43: After a alow start, the Red Raiders (18-2, 8-0) poured in 21 points in the third quarter to pull away and seal a Fox Valley (Valley) victory. Troy Miller and Amanze Egekeze lead the Red Raiders with 13 points apiece while Justin Frederick also recorded double-digits with 10 points.

Westminster Christian 51, Faith Lutheran 19: The Warriors (11-10) used a balanced offensive attack to easily handle Faith Lutheran at home. Will Woodhouse scored a game-high 13 points while Aaron Wiewel and Josh Beachler chipped in 8 points each.

Cornerstone Christian Academy 40, Harvest Christian Academy 35: The Lions jumped to an early 13-6 lead after one quarter of play, but their offense went cold in the second half as they fell at home to Cornerstone Christian Academy. Stuart Wolff and John Vislisel each recorded 14 points to lead the Lions.

North Boone 53, Burlington Central 41: Burlington Central (12-9, 4-2) had a rough shooting night on the road in a loss against North Boone in Big Northern East action. The Rockets got looks whenever and wherever they wanted but shot just a 20 percent clip from the field, including a dismal 12 percent from 3-point range. Ray Hunnicutt was the only bright spot with 12 points.

Men’s basketball

McHenry County College 78, Oakton Community College 72: The Scots (10-12, 4-4) fell behind early, but then went up by as many as 25 points and held on to a victory. Mershon Wilkes led the Scots with 19 points and 7 rebounds while DeShawn Wash added 15 points. Eric Wilde (14 points) and Marcus Marshall (10 points) rounded out the double-digit scoring.
