The Wings Student Art Gallery at College of DuPage will present “Disguised Sanity,” its third exhibit of the 2011-2012 season, from Thursday, Jan. 26, to Thursday, March 1.
The gallery is located in room 2210 of the College's new Student Services Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.
“Disguised Sanity” features ceramic works by Evangerline Alagaratnam, Jordan Hadik, Carla DePalma, Amanda Wright, Nick Hanson, Kehkashan Fatima, Lara Mukarhirn and Melissa Borowiec and paintings by Peter Krouwer. The exhibit presents an arrangement of Surrealist-inspired artwork, hosting a diverse range of materials oddities and exotic painted figures, demonstrating the ability to break from the constraints of reality with color, unique shapes and movement.
An artist reception will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, at the gallery.
Wings Gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
