Erbacci wins Harper College Best of Show

Elk Grove High School senior Christi Erbacci was awarded “Best of Show” at the annual Harper Art Show, which was on display Nov. 20-Dec. 2. “Best of Show” is a single award given to one student selected by the art faculty of Harper College. This is the second time in the past few years that an Elk Grove student has been honored with this distinction, according to art teacher Cindy Pacyk.

“It’s a chance for students to showcase their hard work and ability,” Pacyk said.

Also receiving awards were Elk Grove senior Taylor Bischoff, who won 1st and 2nd place in the 2D category, and senior Cheryll Victuelles, who took 3rd place. In the 3-D category, Erbacci took 1st and 2nd place, and junior Carolynne Teters received 3rd place. Seniors Patrick Glennon and Elisabeth Puca both took home two of the honorable mentions. Juniors Margaret Jaryszek and Emma Pierce both took one honorable mention apiece.
