Libertyville still unbeaten
Libertyville’s boys basketball team kept its undefeated season intact Friday night.
Anthony Mack led all scorers with 19 points, as the Wildcats defeated visiting Crystal Lake South 48-34 in nonconference action.
Griffin Pils added 13 points for Libertyville (5-0) and Jack Deichl had 10.
Lakes 62, Wauconda 51: Lakes led by as many as 20 and held on to earn a North Suburban Prairie victory over the host Bulldogs.
Justin Bergeron paced Lakes (3-3, 1-0) with 17 points. Justin Schneider and Tanner Blain chipped in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Wauconda (2-3, 0-1) was led by Kyle Ryan’s 17 points (five 3-pointers) and Austin Swenson’s 14.
North Chicago 100, Grant 80: The Bulldogs dropped the North Suburban Prairie opener, despite four players scoring in double figures.
Allen Lewis led Grant (3-2, 0-1) with 18 points, while Jerry Gaylor had a season-high 17. Sean Wells and Jared Helmich added 16 and 10 points, respectively, for the Bulldogs, who had their three-game winning streak snapped.
Johnsburg 57, Antioch 47: William Waschow’s game-high 16 points led the Sequoits in their nonconference loss.
Tyler Innis added 14 points for Antioch (1-4).
Huntley 50, Carmel 42: Brandon Motzel scored 14 points for the Corsairs (1-4) in their nonconference loss.
Both Motzel and Joe Molloy hit a pair of 3-pointers.
