Harvest Christian wins second straight

Harvest Christian Academy won its second straight boys basketball game by pulling away from Faith Lutheran in the second half for a 70-40 victory. The Lions led 35-26 at halftime but outscored Faith 18-6 in the third quarter to take command.

Kyle Fritz scored 16 points, Ulises Fragoso had 14 and Stuart Wolff and John Vislisel each contributed 11 points for Harvest Christian (2-4). Dan Turpin led the Lions with 6 rebounds.

Grayslake North 55, Cary-Grove 46: Senior Ryan Arquette and junior Steve Plazak each scored 10 points but it wasn't enough for the Trojans (1-4) to fend off the Knights in a Fox Valley Conference crossover in Grayslake. Danny Mateling scored a game-high 16 points and A.J. Fish added 15 points for Grayslake North.

Aurora Christian 61, St. Edward 49: Aurora Christian outscored St. Edward by 10 points in the second half to secure a victory in this Suburban Christian Conference crossover game in Aurora. Eddie O'Halloran led all scorers with 18 points, including a pair of 3-pointers, and junior Adrian Ponce added 16 points in a losing cause for St. Edward (3-3).
