College Theatre presents 'The Dining Room' Nov. 10-20

College of DuPage College Theatre presents A.R. Gurney's modern classic, “The Dining Room,” Friday, Nov. 11, to Sunday, Nov. 20, in Theatre 2 of the McAninch Arts Center on the Glen Ellyn campus, 425 Fawell Blvd.

Performances are 7 p.m. Thursdays to Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. A preview performance is set for 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10.

A mosaic of inter-related scenes, “The Dining Room” premiered in 1981. Set in a single dining room, the play is a collection of stories focusing on different families during different time periods, but similar in the characters' need for comfort and togetherness.

A pre-show discussion is scheduled for 6:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. A post-show discussion will be held Friday, Nov. 18

Tickets to “The Dining Room” are $12 for adults and $11 for College of DuPage students and youth. Tickets to the Nov. 10 preview performance are $9.

This play contains adult language and situations and may not be suitable for all audiences.
