Lake County Family YMCA Hires Two New Leaders
The Lake County Family YMCA has hired two new leaders: Diane M. Aidem as vice president of development and Jim Malecha as director of finance.
A Vernon Hills resident, Aidem has more than 10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising. She was director of development, marketing & communications for the YWCA of Lake County the past one and one-half years. Prior to that, Aidem was development director for Countryside Association for People with Disabilities in Palatine. She also has been employed with Alternative Behavior Treatment Centers in Mundelein and Little City Foundation in Palatine. Aidem has a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Illinois.
A Libertyville resident, Malecha is a financial executive with more than 20 years of accomplishments in financial management, strategic planning and business development. He was treasurer and director of Mainstreet Libertyville the past two years. He also has owned and managed a bed and breakfast and has 20 years of banking experience. Malecha has an MBA in accounting and a bachelor's in finance from DePaul University, Chicago.
