Reza Aslan to give Islam lecture at Harper

Iranian-American author, religious scholar and political commentator Reza Aslan, who has appeared on the “Colbert Report” and the “Daily Show with Jon Stewart” to weigh in on Middle East issues, will give a lecture at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Performing Arts Center on the college’s main campus, 1200 W. Algonquin Road, Palatine.

Aslan, who’s known for addressing controversial topics with humor and optimism, will discuss Islam and the future of the Middle East. Tickets are $15.
