Students now serving dinner at COD's Culinary & Hospitality Center

Advanced culinary students in the Classical French Cuisine class prepare a multi-course dinner paired with appropriate wines that starts with a champagne and hors d'oeuvres reception at 6 p.m. Dinners will be presented on Wednesdays, Sept. 21, Oct. 5, Oct. 19 and Nov. 2, with each evening featuring a different menu. The cost is $55, which includes tax.

Students in the International Cuisine class take diners on a gastronomic tour of the world with recipes celebrating the seasons and wine or beer complimenting the menu. Dinners start at 7 p.m. and will be presented on Tuesdays, Oct. 11 (October Fest), Oct. 25 (Greece), Nov. 8 (Spain), Nov. 22 (France) and Dec. 6 (International Tasting). The cost is $40 and includes tax.

Waterleaf is a professionally run, full-service fine dining restaurant that dedicates two evenings per week on select dates to student-prepared delights. The Culinary & Hospitality Center is a 60,000-square foot, state-of-the-art facility with high-tech teaching kitchens, bake shops, a skills kitchen, a culinary amphitheater and a dedicated chocolate room. In addition to Waterleaf, the Center also features Wheat Café, run entirely by students, and the Culinary Market, which sells student creations.
