Grayslake Kiwanis Club's Kiss the Pig Contest

The Kiwanis Club of Grayslake is happy to announce our candidates for the fifth annual 2011 Kiwanis Kiss the Pig fundraising contest!

The lucky candidates this year include business owners Dick Navarre from This Old Book, Kelly Chase from Entwined, Mike Pruitt from the Vine – Martini & Wine Bar, Chris Beckord from Dog N Suds and Linda Wegge from ATC Wegge, Ltd.

The Kiwanis Club of Grayslake is raising money that will be sent back into our community for things like Kiwanis scholarships to Grayslake High School students, student leadership conferences, and Spinoza Talking Bears for local toddlers with chronic health conditions.

At restaurants and businesses throughout Grayslake, people will find our cans with the pictures of our five lucky local celebrities. We are asking the public to put coins and dollars into the can of their choice and the participant whose cans collect the most money will be named the Kiss the Pig winner!

The Winner of the 2011 Kiss the Pig contest will be announced at the main stage at Grayslake Summer Days at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. The “winner” will be kissing a real live pig!
