Girls soccer/Fox Valley roundup

Dundee-Crown 1, Grayslake North 0: Carolyn Schneider’s first-half goal held up as the Chargers (4-11-1, 3-4-0) registered a Fox Valley Conference win. Claire Mazurkiewicz assisted on the goal and Ali Sanders had 6 saves in goal for D-C.

Hampshire 7, Harvard 0: Helena Van Eck and Natalie Starrenburg each had 2 goals to help Hampshire to a shutout win in the Big Northern East. Michelle Dumoulin, Dakota Walther and Alex Zeller also scored for the Whip-Purs (10-3-4, 5-1-0). Haylee Moscato tended the net for Hampshire but didn’t have to make any saves.

Burlington Central 3, Marengo 0: The Rockets (6-5-0, 4-0-0) kept pace in the Big Northern East as Caitlin Solberg made 4 saves in goal to notch her fourth shutout of the season. Catherine Kaynish, Cali Andrew and Camille Dela Cruz scored goals for Central in the win.

Marian Central 3, St. Edward 0: Paige Gannon had 8 saves in goal for the Green Wave (7-3-1, 3-2-0) in this Suburban Christian loss.

Huntley 7, CL Central 0: Aimee Wronski scored her 17th goal of the season and five other Huntley players found the back of the net as the Red Raiders (10-1-1, 5-0) rolled to a Fox Valley Conference win. Rachel Chapuis, Kelly Manczko, Bre Burry, Delaney Loprieno and Ashley Schoor also scored for Huntley, which also had an own goal.
