O’Keefe hits grand slam in Neuqua win

Neuqua Valley 10, Geneva 5: Ryan O#146;Keefe drove the offense for the Wildcats (7-3, 2-3) by going 3-for-5 with a grand slam and 5 RBI in the Upstate Eight Conference win. O#146;Keefe#146;s homer in the top of the seventh broke a 5-5 tie. Chris Medhurst drove in 2 runs and Jeff Samuel had 2 hits. Mike Bogar was the winning pitcher in relief of Alex Bucz. Glenbard South 14, Ridgewood 4:Zach Bava, Aaron Beese and Ryan Schlegel combined to go 8-for-10 with 9 RBI and 7 runs scored for the Raiders (7-5, 4-1) in their Metro Suburban Conference win. Billy Strohl improved to 3-0 on the mound.Glenbard North 4, Naperville North 3:The Panthers (9-3, 3-0) capped a DuPage Valley Conference sweep of Naperville North (3-7, 0-3) by breaking a 2-2 tie with a pair of runs in the top of the sixth inning. Mark Ng and Tyler Schwichtenburg each had a pair of hits while Brandon Clark homered. Nick Pirok pitched into the sixth inning to earn the win. Nick Solak had 2 hits for Naperville North.WW South 13, Glenbard East 3:The Tigers (6-6, 2-1) exploded for 9 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to end the DuPage Valley Conference game. Zach Jarosz, Jeremy Rhoades and Zach Kyllonen combined for 7 RBI. Parker Ryndak was the winning pitcher. Jon Morris went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI for Glenbard East (4-8, 1-2). Naperville Central 10, West Aurora 2:The Redhawks (8-4, 3-0) swept the DuPage Valley Conference series as Jake DeVoy blasted a home run and had 3 RBI. Ian Lewandowski went 2-for-3 while Jeff Schank (1-1) pitched 4 innings to win on the mound.Montini 8, Northridge Prep 5:Jared Jayne#146;s 3-run homer in the bottom of the sixth inning provided the Broncos (10-4) with their game-winning runs in nonconference action. Marco Sarno (2-0) won in relief of Kurtis Ligocki. Downers South 4, York 3:Jacob Wolf went 3-for-3 with a triple and home run for the Mustangs (8-5), who rallied after York struck for 3 runs in the top of the first inning. Nick Vanek went 2-for-2. John Lithio was the winning pitcher in relief.
