Warrenville woman receives ICCB Outreach Award

College of DuPage Student Trustee Kristin Lodygowski of Warrenville is the recipient of the 2011 Student Advisory Committee Outreach Award presented by the Illinois Community College Board of Trustees.

This recognition is given annual to a member of the SAC who has provided dedicated service to outreach programs for his or her college and community. Lodygowski was recognized for her volunteer work for area veterans organizations, as well as her commitment to campus sustainability. Following graduation from COD this spring, Lodygowski plans to pursue a four-year degree in environmental engineering and policy.

The SAC was established by the Illinois Community College Board in 1982. The committee serves Illinois Community College students by representing their interests through reviewing ICCB policies, advising on those policies, and providing information on issues affecting the community college system.

Lodygowski was selected for the SAC Outreach Award from a pool of 39 student members representing each of the 39 community college districts in the State of Illinois. The SAC fosters activism in specific areas, including Local Issues, Legislative, Awards and Recognition, and Outreach.
