Harper hosts seminars on impact of new tax laws

The Harper College Educational Foundation is hosting free estate tax seminars this week to help participants navigate new and proposed changes in federal and Illinois tax law that could have a major impact on long-range financial planning.

The first seminar takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Room X250 on Harper’s main campus in Palatine. A second seminar is scheduled for Thursday, in Room Z119.

Leading the seminar will be Palatine attorney Bob Glorch, who specializes in estate planning, wills, trust, probate, estate administration and charitable giving. Glorch is a frequent speaker on the topic of estate planning, having taught at Harper College and as an adjunct faculty member at the College for Financial Planning in Denver, Colo. He has delivered seminars on estate planning at the First National Bank of Chicago, LaSalle National Bank in Chicago, the Teachers’ Retirement System of Illinois and the U.S. Customs Service.
