Trees scores 17 for Libertyville in win over New Trier
Libertyville's girls basketball team tuned for the North Suburban Conference championship game by beating host New Trier 52-39 Monday night to remain undefeated.
Savannah Trees scored a game-high 17 points, including three 3-pointers, for the Wildcats, who improved to 26-0.
Kaca Savatic added 9 points.
Libertyville will host Wauconda in the NSC title game at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Wauconda 33, Antioch 25: Roslyn Summerville scored 11 points and grabbed 6 rebounds, as the Bulldogs wrapped up North Suburban Prairie Division action with another win.
Wauconda (21-2, 11-1), which clinched the division championship Saturday, also received 7 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists from Tammy Ellis. Melanie Prudhomme (3 assists, 4 steals) and Diana Enriquez scored 6 points apiece.
Antioch (15-9, 6-5) received 12 points from Andi Potkonjak.
Grant 53, Lakes 50: Morgan Jahnke's 15 points led three players in double figures, as the Bulldogs (11-14, 7-4) held off the host Eagles (9-16, 4-8) in the North Suburban Prairie contest. Lakes was led by Terese McMahon's 18 points.
