Glenbard West beats Timothy Christian in overtime for third place
Glenbard West lost its bid Wednesday to get into the championship game at the Hilltoppers' own Holiday Classi, but came out with third place.
On Thursday Glenbard West (4-8) beat Timothy Christian 58-53 in overtime, outscoring the Trojans 8-3 in the extra session. Egan Montgomery led Glenbard West with 13 points. Timothy Christian (7-6) was led by Mike Pizzello's 14 points and Mark Penczak with 12.
Addison Trail 52, West Chicago 51:
In another tight one for fifth place at Glenbard West, Armin Trgo scored 14 points and James Pupillo 10 for Addison Trail (4-8). Justin Mundt scored 15 points and Brian Baids had 10 for West Chicago (4-8).
Fenton 55, Northside Prep 34:
Earning seventh place at Glenbard West, Fenton (3-10) got 15 points from Dan Montano and 13 from Zach Piotrowski.
Marmion 61, Glenbard North 47:
Marmion's Eddy Grahovec scored 18 points and Mark Berdelle scored 13 to lead the 6-6 Cadets to fifth place at Waubonsie Valley. Glenbard North (6-5) was led by Josh Fleming with 16 points and Anthony Keener with 11.
Plainfield Central beat Aurora Central Catholic for third place at Waubonsie, and Eisenhower topped Immaculate Conception for seventh.
