South Elgin (4-4, 0-2) at Metea Valley (5-3, 1-2), 7:30 p.m.: The Storm need to win in the first meeting between these schools if they intend to compete for the Upstate Eight Valley title.
Harvard (1-3, 0-1) at Hampshire (4-2, 0-0), 7:15 p.m.: The Whip-Purs aim for their fifth straight victory as they open their final season in the Big Northern East.
Marengo (1-6, 0-0) at Burlington Central (3-3, 1-0), 7 p.m.: A victory over the Indians would give the Rockets a winning record heading into Monday's DeKalb Tournament opener.
Jacobs (3-2) at Johnsburg (1-6), 7 p.m.: The Golden Eagles prep for Saturday's Jacobs Holiday Tournament opener with an FVC crossover against the struggling Skyhawks.
Huntley (5-1) at Prairie Ridge (1-6), 7 p.m.: Huntley won last year's FVC crossover between these former division rivals, 56-47.
Crystal Lake South (4-3) at Woodstock North (1-6), 7 p.m.: The Gators shoot for their fifth win in six outings in an FVC crossover.
Wheaton Academy (7-0, 2-0) at St. Edward (3-3, 1-1), 7:30 p.m.: The unbeaten Gold Division leaders invade the coziest confines in the Suburban Christian Conference.
Elgin Academy (2-6, 1-2) at University of Chicago Laboratory School, 6 p.m.: The Hilltoppers shoot for their second straght Independent School League victory.
Saturday
Rockford-Keith School (1-3, 0-0) at Westminster Christian (6-1, 0-1), 1 p.m.: The Warriors play their last home prior to the 4th Annual Bob Wettig Memorial Tournament in Richmond, Ind. on Dec. 28.
Lake Park (6-3) at Larkin (2-6), 2:30 p.m.: The Royals gear up for Monday's 8 p.m. opener at the Elgin Tournament with a UEC crossover against the Lancers, who won the Fenton Thanksgiving Tournament.
Jacobs Holiday Classic
Crystal Lake South vs. Barrington (6-3), 9 a.m.: Set the alarm clock. The Gators and Broncos are back in action 12 hours after their respective Friday night games.
Bartlett (5-4)* vs. Crystal Lake Central (6-1), 12 p.m.: The Hawks get a stiff test in their tournament opener against the Tigers, who won their own Thanksgiving Tournament.
Cary-Grove (3-4) vs. St. Edward, 1:30 p.m.: These teams last met at the Jacobs Tournament in 2008. Cary-Grove won that game, 71-47.
Huntley (5-1) vs. Marian Central (4-4), 6 p.m.: Huntley beat the Hurricanes by 3 points in 2008-09 and by 2 points last season.
Jacobs vs. Tilden (3-2), 7:30 p.m.: The Golden Eagles conclude Day 1 action with their tournament opener in prime time.
