West Chicago wins regional

West Chicago d. St. Charles North: Emily Paschke put down 17 kills and Julia Conard had 12 kills and 20 digs, as the No. 1 seed Wildcats outlasted the North Stars 25-23, 24-26, 25-23 in the Class 4A Conant regional final.

Kathy Fletcher added 11 kills and Payton Bayless 42 assists for West Chicago (30-7), which won its first regional since 1997.

Benet d. Lockport: Jenna Jendryk had 9 kills and 3 aces, and the No. 1 seed Redwings won their fourth straight regional title with a 25-16, 25-12 win at Downers Grove South. Alyson Farm added 4 kills and 9 digs, Lara Ontko 4 kills and 2 aces, Meghan Haggerty 5 kills and 2 blocks, Kaitlyn King 18 assists, 5 digs and 2 blocks, Grace Giradot 9 digs and McKenzie Kuhn 3 kills and 2 blocks for Benet (31-6), who won its 11th straight.

Hinsdale Central d. Naperville Central: Ally Davis put down 10 kills and 3 blocks, and the No. 2 seed Red Devils beat the No. 10 Redhawks 25-17, 25-5 in the Class 4A East Aurora regional final. Natalia Skiba added 5 kills and 5 digs and Meghan McDowell 6 kills and 2 blocks for Hinsdale Central (26-11).
