Saturday's Fox Valley roundup

Cary-Grove 3, Libertyville 1: Evan Baker, Jon Guay and Mike McKune each scored goals as Cary-Grove downed Libertyville to win the Carml quad. McKune also had an assist for the Trojans (7-2-1) as did Ricky Contreras and Aidan McCarthy. Tom Breen made 6 saves in goal for the winners.

Streamwood 1, Hoffman Estates 1: Adelito Brito scored for Streamwood and Jose Resendiz had 8 saves in goal as the Sabres (1-12-2) earned a nonconference tie with Hoffman Estates.

Bartlett 1, Kenosha Kremper 0: The Hawks scored a big win over Kenosha Kremper of Wisconsin in the semifinals of the Glenbrook North Invite as Tyler Lake scored off an assist from Tommy Russo in the second half. Alex Busch had 6 saves in goal for the Hawks.

Glenbrook North 2, Bartlett 1: Tommy Russo's unassisted goal in the first half was all the offense the Hawks (9-5) could muster in the championship game of the Glenbrook North Invite. Alex Busch made 11 saves in goal for Bartlett.

Larkin 7, Rockford Auburn 0: Erik Rodriguez had a hat trick and Manny Aguilar scored 2 goals as Larkin (9-3-1) rolled to a nonconference win. Michel Gomez and Carlos Bucio also scored for the Royals, who got 2 saves in goal from Santiago Guerrero.

Somonauk 4, Westminster Christian 2: Somonauk ruined the Warriors' homecoming game in nonconference action. Steven Hoeflich and Josh Beachler scored for Westminster and Ian Dutcher had 8 saves.

Huntley 4, Johnsburg 1: The Red Raiders evened their record for the season with this Fox Valley Conference win. Javi Diaz had 2 goals for Huntley (6-6-1, 5-3-0) with Leo Mueller and Lucas Baker knocking in one each. Kevin Montelongo had 8 saves in the net for Huntley.

Burlington Central 1, Glenbard North 1: Alexis Camarena scored off an assist from Christopher Gousios and the Rockets (9-3-2) earned a tie in the final round of the St. Charles East tournament. Matthew Dahlberg and Michael Parker each had 3 saves in goal for BC.

Latin 6, Elgin Academy 1: Aaron Thomas' goal off an assist from Connor Flexman helped Elgin Academy (3-11, 2-4) avoid the Independent School League shutout in the Hilltoppers' homecoming game. Tom Tunca had 12 saves for EA.
