Monday's Fox Valley roundup

Cary-Grove 3, Dundee-Crown 0: The Trojans (9-6, 4-2) carried an early 2-0 lead into halftime and added an insurance goal in the second half as they shutout the Chargers on the road in this Fox Valley (Valley Division) match. Korey Kronforst led the way for the Trojans with a goal and an assist while Brittant Kroening added 2 assists. Cory Levels and Allie Simon added the Trojans' other 2 goals. Paige Lincicum recorded the shutout in goal for Cary-Grove while Deanna Libricz turned away 10 shots on goal for the Chargers.

Burlington Central 3, Marengo 1: The Rockets (7-3-3, 3-1) put together a 3 goal, second half comeback to defeat Big Northern East opponent Marengo. Magdalene Stoneman continued her scoring ways as she netted 2 of the Rockets' 3 goals while Erica Heissler added the third. Heather Krup recorded all 3 assists and Caitlin Solberg registered 6 saves in goal for the Rockets.

IMSA 3, Streamwood 2: The Sabres were unable to come away with a victory as they fell to IMSA on the road in this nonconference matchup. Tanya Garci and Njomza Vitija recorded the Sabres' goals. Brianna Roppo turned away 9 shots on goal.

St. Francis 3, St. Edward 1: The Green Wave (2-14-1, 0-5) remained winless in Suburban Christian Conference play as they fell to St. Francis at home. Colleen Kerger scored the Wave's lone goal off an assist from Katherine Von Ahnen. Paige Gannon recorded 12 saves in goal for the Green Wave.

University 4, Elgin Academy 1: Lauren Steimle scored off a feed from Ashley Barnes, but it would not be enough as the Hilltoppers (10-5-1) were unable to pull out a win. Bianca Swegler was busy is goal as she recorded 15 saves on the night.
