Nick Hahn homered twice, catcher Austin Jarvis hit his eighth home run of the season and Tanner Scott homered and drove in 2 runs for Central (14-1, 2-0).
Hampshire 11, North Boone 5: Ryan DeChant (3 RBI), Tyler Crater and Ryan Burke (RBI) each went 2-for-3 as the Whip-Purs scored 11 runs on 12 hits in a Big Northern East road game. Kent Larson (1-2) struck out 5 and went the distance for Hampshire (5-6, 1-0).
Lake Park 10, Larkin 4: The Lancers scored 3 runs in the fourth inning, 3 in the fifth and 4 in the sixth to defeat the Royals in an Upstate Eight game in Roselle. Sophomore Drew Shore (0-4) allowed 3 earned runs on 9 hits, walked 2 and struck out 3 in 5 innings for Larkin (3-9-1, 2-3).
Westminster Christian 19, Alden-Hebron 1: Frank Oliver finished 2-for-3 with a double, 3 RBI and 4 runs scored, and Andrew Mason struck out 10 and limited the Giants to 3 hits to lead the Warriors (7-3, 4-0) in a five-inning Northeast Athletic Conference game in Elgin.
Streamwood 14, East Aurora 2: Mike Diebold (4 RBI), Nick Pryor, Blake Hunter and Patrick Manning each homered to lead the Sabres to an Upstate Eight home win. Junior Josh Harris struck out 5 in 2 innings to earn the victory for Streamwood (7-4, 2-1).
Prairie Ridge 1, Cary-Grove 0: Zach Coel outdueled Matt Panek as the Wolves (8-4, 4-0) handed the Trojans (6-7, 2-3) a loss in Fox Valley Conference action in Cary. Coal allowed only 2 hits and struck out 6 in 7 innings; Panek allowed 6 hits and struck out 7. Kevin Kaczmarek doubled in the game's lone run.
Huntley 6, Johnsburg 5: Jeremy Ahillen (3-0) held the visiting Skyhawks to 1 earned run in 8 innings, and the Red Raiders scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth to improve to 10-1 overall, 4-0 in the Fox Valley Conference. Tom Crohan doubled and drove in 3 runs for Huntley.
Crystal Lake South 7, Crystal Lake Central 6: Trailing 6-5 in the bottom of the seventh inning, the Gators tied the game with a home run by Alex Macaulay (3-for-4, 3B) and won it when junior Robbie Lemke singled to right field to score Billy Wright, who had doubled. Brandon Seiser (1-0) earned the win in relief for CL South (6-6, 4-2).
Jacobs 11, Woodstock 0: Josh Kranz went 3-for-3 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI and Anthony Virgilio went 3-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI to lead the Golden Eagles to a five-inning Fox Valley Conference victory. Joe Ross (1-0) held the Blue Streaks to 2 hits and struck out 5 to earn the victory for Jacobs (4-7-1, 2-3).
Dundee-Crown 13, Woodstock North 3: Sophomore Jake Romano (2-for-3) and freshman Dylan Kissack (2-for-3) combined to drive in 7 runs, and pitcher Zach Vodicka (3-1) struck out 7 in 42/3 innings to pace Dundee-Crown (7-7, 4-2) in a Fox Valley Conference game in Carpentersville.
