Neuqua's Hohman goes deep twice in defeat of St. Charles North

Neuqua Valley 10, St. Charles North 9: Colleen Hohman cracked 2 home runs and drove in 4 as the No. 19 Wildcats snapped the No. 5 North Stars' 10-game winning streak in Naperville.

Jenna Marsalli homered, doubled and scored 3 runs and Amanda Mener went 2-for-3 with a triple and RBI for Neuqua Valley (7-4, 5-2 Upstate Eight Conference).

WW South 5, York 4: Timmie Rappe singled in Claire Linebarger from third in the bottom of the eighth for the Tigers (8-6). Katie Ottolin doubled twice for WW South.

Glenbard South 15, DeKalb 6: Danielle Chitkowski homered and drove in 3 runs for the No. 4 Raiders (11-0, 4-0 Western Sun Conference), and Tess DiIorio also homered. Jenny Klich doubled and had an RBI.

Downers Grove North 6, Nazareth 2: Freshman pitcher Elaine Heflin (4-1) struck out 14 as the Trojans (7-3) won their sixth straight.

Glenbard North 8, Schaumburg 3: Alyssa Jasinski went 4-for-4 with a double, triple, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI for the No. 8 Panthers (6-1). Susan Lindstrom went 2-for-4 with a double and 2 runs scored and Jenny Jochheim 2-for-3 with 2 RBI.
