Cheeseburger Casserole
1½-2 pounds ground beef
½ cup onion, chopped
¼ teaspoon oregano
¼ teaspoon garlic salt or garlic powder
1 can (about 11 ounces) condensed tomato soup
1 box (7.25 ounces) macaroni and cheese, prepared
⅓ cup grated American or cheddar cheese
Chopped parsley, for garnish
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
In 5-quart, ovenproof Dutch oven brown the beef with the onion. Drain drippings. To the pot add oregano, garlic salt, soup and prepared macaroni and cheese.
Bake 20 minutes; remove from oven and sprinkle with grated cheese and parsley; bake 10 minutes more. Serves eight to 10.
