Rockford Christian 49, Westminster Christian 34: The Warriors struggled offensively as they fell 49-34 to host Rockford Christian in the Rockford Christian Tournament. Westminster Christian missed many free opportunities as it converted on only 12-for-25 attempts from the charity strip.

Beth Kautz and Sarah Rodgers shared team-high honors with 6 points each for Westminster. Whitney VandenBos and Katie Moeller each added 5 points.

Crystal Lake South 45, Regina 35: The Gators (2-0) picked up their second victory of the season by defeating Regina 45-35 at the Buffalo Grove tournament.

Katie Burton record a team-high 15 points to go with her 6 rebounds and 3 steals while Michelle Gaede added 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 blocks. Molly Benoit led all players with 12 rebounds while chipping in 4 points for the Gators.

Women's basketball

Highland CC 73, Elgin CC 52: The Spartans dropped a nonconference game at home to Highland Community College.

Tracy Ferguson and Lauren Gabler paced the Spartans offensively with 15 and 14 points respectively. Brittany Armato chipped in 8 points while Sophie Sterricker and Krissy Kunavich added 5 points in the loss.
