Food for Fines results
The Addison Public Library generated more than 1,100 food donations last month through its Food For Fines Program. The library accepted one food item to waive $1 in fines people owed for late fees on materials. Users eliminated about $1,100 in fines owed while the Addison Switchboard received more than 1,125 food items. Several patrons donated food even though they owed no fines. All the food was dropped off to the Switchboard this week.
