Gilstrap's goal lifts Carmel

Carmel's girls soccer team stayed unbeaten Thursday.

Jessica Gilstrap scored on an assist from Lauren Lehman, as the Corsairs improved to 5-0 with a 1-0 win over Mundelein in a nonconference match.

Carmel keeper Maddie Allen earned the shutout.

Lakes 3, Grant 0: The Eagles got goals from Michelle Kosmen, Jessica David and Ashley Neubeck in the North Suburban Prairie Division opener.

Sarah Bartlett had 2 assists, and Sarah Fitzpatrick recorded 6 saves for Lakes (3-1).

Lake Zurich 1, Warren 1: In a North Suburban Lake opener, Josie Willman scored the equalizer in the second half for Lake Zurich (2-2-2).

Grayslake Central 4, Woodstock 0: Melissa Kuehl had a goal and an assist for the Rams.

Megan LeBaron scored her seventh goal of the season for Grayslake Central (5-2), which won its fifth in a row and recorded its second straight shutout.

Kat Dickson and Maggie Klees each played a half in goal for the Rams.

Dundee-Crown 1, Grayslake North 0: The Knights fell to 5-3. Freshman keeper Brooke Sauer made 7 saves.
