High school hosts circus:
Huntley High School is hosting Illinois State University's Gamma Phi Circus for two performances at 2 and 7 p.m. April 4. Refreshments will be served. Advance tickets cost $9 for adults and $7 for students and seniors. There is no admission for children younger than 2. Tickets will also be available at the door at a higher cost. Da Vinci looks for auction help:
The Da Vinci Academy will hold its annual benefit auction at 6 p.m. May 2 at the Q Center in St. Charles. Local businesses are invited to donate items, purchase sponsorship benefit packages and advertise in the auction catalog. Tickets are $75 and attendees enjoy a gourmet meal, raffle drawings and live and silent auctions. This year's top-level raffle items are an iMac desktop computer and a 47-inch LCD TV with a Blue-ray player. Calling education majors:
High school senior girls who attend public or private high schools in the Elgin Area School District U-46 and Community Unit District 300 attendance areas are eligible for grant money from the Gamma Xi Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society if they plan to work in education.
