Sheehan leads Grant to 10th win

Grant's boys basketball team hit double-digit wins, as the player who always hits double-digit points did so again.

Gilbert Sheehan scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Bulldogs to a 53-36 win over visiting Antioch in North Suburban Prairie Division action Saturday night.

Sheehan has scored in double figures in all 15 games for Grant (10-5, 4-2).

Shane Richardson and John King added 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Grant.

Cameron White led Antioch (1-14, 1-5) with 12 points.

North Chicago 86, Round Lake 51: The host Panthers enjoyed a 19-17 lead two minutes into the second quarter of the North Suburban Prairie game, before ultimately trailing 43-27 at halftime and 69-36 after three quarters.

Round Lake (3-14, 2-5) received 12 points apiece from John Martinez and Nick Lange. Juddon Carter had 11 points (three 3-pointers) for the Panthers, who lost at North Chicago 129-48 on Dec. 5.

North Chicago (13-2, 7-0) had four players score in double figures, led by DeShawn Chambliss with 16 points.

Round Lake's Jake Paulsen sat out due to a violation of team rules.

Lake Forest 51, Libertyville 46: The visiting Wildcats lost for the second straight night.

Jeremy Letchford did not play for Libertyville (5-10, 2-4) due to an injury.

Lakes 77, Mundelein 74: John Androus tied his season high with 31 points and had 13 rebounds and 7 assists, while Mike Scott added a season-high 22 points and 3 assists, as the host Eagles prevailed in the North Suburban crossover.

Mundelein's Kevin Barber scored 10 of his team-best 21 points in the first quarter, helping the Mustangs take a 25-16 lead.

Lakes (7-10), which trailed 59-58 after three quarters, also got big games from Chris Boehm (10 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists), Tyler Swindle (8 points, 10 rebound, 2 assists) and Justin Hotle (4 points, 8 rebounds).

Grayslake Central 62, Dundee-Crown 53: Josh Rappaport scored a career-high 24 points for the host Rams in the Fox Valley crossover.

Grayslake Central (10-6) also got double-digit points from Mike Brumm (13), Alex Anderson (10) and Kevin O'Rourke (10).
