At Jacobs Holiday Tournament: Despite seeing three players reach double digits, Crystal Lake South (5-5) coudn't overcome a 40-point showing from Ben Brust of Mundelein as the Gators fell 78-67. Adam Olszewski led the Gator attack with 20 points including 6 baskets from behind the arc. Eric Wilde (15 points) and Steven Rogers (12 points) also contributed... Despite 15 points form Chris Swenson and 14 points from Chad McCarron, Cary-Grove (6-4) fell to Prairie Ridge 59-47. Chad Ljunggren led all scorers for the Wolves with 25 points...Bartlett (6-3) defeated St. Edward (2-6) 67-57. Luke Labedzki led all scorers with 20 points, while Greg Partyka finished with 14 points for the Hawks. Marc Little (9 points) and Mike Banks (8 points) also did well for Bartlett. Riley Coleman led the Green Wave with 17 points. Right behind were Josh Dix (16 points) and Steve Martin (13 points).
Streamwood 75, Wheeling 37: Led by Marcus Lewis, who had 18 points and 5 rebounds, Streamwood (4-7) dominated host Wheeling at the Hardwood Classic. Ryan Kiesel added 16 points for the Sabres followed by Tem Esikiel with 15 points.
Alden-Hebron 50, Westminster Christian 48: Leading at halftime 28-23, Westminster Christian (6-3) couldn't hold on, falling to Alden-Hebron during E.C. Nichols Tournament action at Marengo. Mike Nicosia had a game-high 14 points to lead the Warriors. Ryan Beachler and Luke Carani contributed 7 points apiece.
Winnebago 54, Hampshire 41: Despite the efforts of Will Bush, Hampshire (3-4) suffered a loss to Winnebago in tournament play at Marengo. Bush scored a game-high 25 points, including a 7-for-8 free throw line performance. Mike Kozenczak and Tyler Watzlawick each scored 6 points apiece for the Whip-Purs.
