Crystal Lake South (4-2) dominated crosstown rival Crystal Lake Central 53-27 Tuesday night, taking an early lead and never looking back en route to the nonconference girls basketball victory. Katie Burton led all scorers with 14 points while pulling down 8 rebounds. Michelle Gaede contributed with 10 points, 3 rebounds and a pair of steals.
Cary-Grove 65, Grayslake North 28: Allowing just single-digit scoring in three of four quarters, Cary-Grorve took this nonconference game 65-28 over Grayslake North. Claire Jakubicek was unstoppable inside scoring 15 points, 13 in the first half. Tori Sandstrom added 9 points in the win.
Walther Lutheran 64, Westminster Christian 25: Despite a 10-point effort from Rachel Doby, Westminster Christian (2-4, 0-1) dropped this Private School League meeting.
Jacobs 56, Grayslake Central 48: A 17-point performance from Maria Tamburrino led Jacobs to this 56-48 nonconference win over Graylake Central. Katie Cook followed Tamburrino with 13 points, and Sam Vojtsek scored 10 points including 2 buckets from behind the arc.
